Box Plots

A box plot, also known as a box-and-whisker plot, is a standardized way of displaying the distribution of data based on a five number summary: minimum, first quartile (Q1), median, third quartile (Q3), and maximum. Box plots provide a quick visual summary of this distribution, allowing for easy identification of Volatility, Skewness, and potential Outliers. They are far more informative than simply looking at the average or Mean of a data set.
