The Advance-Decline Line (A-D Line) is a technical analysis indicator used to gauge the breadth of a market move. Unlike price-focused indicators like the S&P 500 or Bitcoin price itself, the A-D Line focuses on the number of advancing and declining stocks (or, in the context of crypto futures, contracts with positive or negative price movement).
